Local Councils

The Fort Fairfield Knights of Columbus, Assembly 350, will be holding a Chicken BBQ at their hall on Main Street in Fort Fairfield, on Sunday, May 28th, from Noon until 2:00pm.  The Menu will consist of ½ of a barbequed chicken, French fries, dinner roll, cole slaw, dessert, coffee, tea, and punch.  To go meals will also be available.  A Donation of $8 per meal will be graciously accepted.  All proceeds from this event will benefit local scholarships.

 May 14, Mother's Day breakfast is being offer to all Mothers, God mothers, and Grandmothers by council 11747, St Maximilian Kolbe in Scarborough.  Cost of the breakfast for these wonderful ladies is FREE, Adults $10.00, Children (5-12)$4.00, Families: $17.00, and kids (4 and under) FREE.  Breakfast times will be from 8:30-12:30.  Breakfast will be Scramble Eggs, Blue berry pancakes, bacon, Sausage, Tator Tots, Baked beans, and Fruit, coffee, tea and juices.  Come and say I Love you to your the special girl in your life.

The Knights of Columbus, Andy Valley Council 8742, wish to congratulate Sir Knight Don Weeks for being chosen Knight of the Year.  The award was given during the annual summer picnic held at the home of Knight Walter Levesque in Poland.  The award is given to the individual Knight who has assisted the council throughout the year with their various projects.  Pictured are PGK Don Weeks and Grand Knight Kenny Chamberlain.

On Sunday June 28,2015,Northern Maine Council #1753 held a two type beef and pork rib meal with all the trimmings. We had 8 Brother Knights that put on a awesome project. W

e had 132 people attend  an $8.00 donation was asked and we will be presenting a check for $901.00 to the Pregnancy Care Center of Aroostook . A great day enjoyed by all and the rain held off.


T he Knights of Columbus, Andy Valley Council 8742 is presenting the Vatican Exhibition on the Eucharistic Miracles of the World.  This exhibit has traveled the State of Maine at 36 different locations since 2009.  It is going to be shown at Sacred Heart Church Hall, 24 Sacred Heart Place, Auburn (corner of Western & Minot Aves).  The dates & times of the exhibit are: Thursday February 12 from 2 to 7 pm, Friday February 13 from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday February 14 from 2 to 6 pm, and Sunday February 15 from 7 am to 2 pm.  Following the showing on Sunday there will be Eucharistic Adoration in Sacred Heart Church from 2 to 4 pm, after which the Knights are holding a Chili & Soup Social starting at 4 pm.  The Exhibit showcases many miracles of the Holy Eucharist from around the world and includes over 140 laminated panels featuring photographs and detailed descriptions of each event, allowing people to “virtually visit” these miracles. On Sunday Aug 31,2014 the Northern Maine Council #1753 held a Fund Raiser for our Seminarian.We had A Most Delicious Chicken Barbecue,with French Fries,Onion Rings, Cole Slaw,Buns,Ice Cream and Punch. We had eight Brother Knights who worked the Barbecue. Approximately 175 lbs of chicken was cooked,140 people attended the Barbecue and it was enjoyed by all. A after expenses we will be sending $500.00 to our Seminarian.

On Sunday July 27,2014 The Fort Fairfield council held a fundraiser for the scholarship project.  We raised $600.00 dollars and had over 125 people support this and now we are able to give three One Thousand Dollar Scholarships to the High School.  We had ten Brother Knights support this and a Big Thank you to them and the community.  The menu consisted of hotdogs, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, french fries and onion rings ,ice cream, juice and condiments enjoyed by all.

Aroostook County and District Meetings Fort Fairfield, Maine July 17, 2014

On July 17,2014 a joint meeting  of the Knights of Columbus County meeting and the District 1 & 2 meeting was held at the Northern Maine Council 1753 in Fort Fairfield,Me. We were pleased and honored to have our State Deputy Dave Roy and Fr. Lapointe from the Parish of St. Peter Chanel, District Deputy Fred St. Pierre District 1 and District Deputy  Gerald Michaud from District 2 along with Brother Knights from eight councils,23 members total. A lot of good information was passed to all to bring back to their councils. A delicious supper was prepared by Brother Knights from the host council 1753.  Brother Knight, Duane Belanger, the moderator for the Knights of Columbus County meeting presented a check for $3,100.00 DOLLARS from the Polar Dip to  Mr.Carl Michaud for the Special Olympics.

Fort Fairfield 1753 100th Anniversery 

The 100th Anniversary was held at the Northern Maine Council 1753 Hall in Fort Fairfield,Me on June 21,2015. It started off with a special mass at St. Denis Church in Forth Fairfield,Me.
