The Presence Radio Network Pledge Drive is Coming!
Hello, Grand Knights and Faithful Navigators,
The Presence Radio Network pledge drive is coming soon, September 10-13,2014. Your council and assembly pledges toward this independent lay apostolate in the Catholic Church are much needed to keep our ministry alive. Here is a quote from Bishop Robert P. Deeley:
"Catholic radio offers a voice for our Church, for the truth, and for our faith. Many listeners are brought to a deeper knowledge and practice of the Catholic faith when they have an experience with this powerful communication. By the grace of God, the Presence Radio Network has impacted countless people in Maine, including Catholics who have returned to the Church after years away, people who want to learn more about the faith, and people simply in need of solace, guidance and enthusiasm. We pray for God's wisdom and protection that the network faithfully continue to be a promoter of truth and beauty."
It is the hard work of the Knights of Columbus in Maine that was instrumental in bringing this network on the air four years ago. If you have listened to The Presence Radio, you know how powerful an evangelistic tool that we have, especially to reach those who have fallen away from the church. A new affiliate station is coming soon in Fort Kent that will be owned by the Fort Kent Knights of Columbus, Inc.
It is our hope and prayer that our upcoming pledge drive will be on your agenda at your next council or assembly meeting. Our K of C night will be on the first day of our pledge drive on September 10th, from 5pm to 7pm. David Roy, State Deputy, and Norm Gray, State Secretary will be live on the air during that time with a friendly competition as to which council or assembly will have the highest donation. Members can also donate individually and can include their council or assembly number when they donate which will count towards the grand total of their council or assembly.
God Bless the Knights of Columbus for helping us get started, and continuing to support us as we continue to grow.
